A bunch of students’ researchers had come out with an idea on installing GPS on nursing center patients’ walkers. The system is a simple navigation device with a couple of big buttons and an arrow directing on the screen to where the patient should go to. Using a WI-FI based technology, they keep the system as simple as possible so that it’s more of a user friendly device. I personally think that it’s a good thing if they add an additional tracker inside it so the patient can be located if he/she gone off-course.
