Magellan series of Maestro units is a new line of product. Its Maestro 4040 is a wide screen model and recently obtained a score of 3.5/5 from PCMag. It is a great buy at $500.
It offers a large number of features for its price segment. Maestro 4040 has an interesting SayWhere text to speech engine which enables it to read out street names and exit ramps. This device comes with maps for all 50 states, Canada and Puerto Rico. If you are interested in live traffic condition, you can purchase the optional TrafficKit and subscribe to the traffic-data service. There are no additional wires or antennas.
Maestro can also be enabled to accept voice commands for hands free operation which is very cool. The only downside will be its Bluetooth interface is not as impressive as its other features and also there is no auto zoom function on this device. Apart from that this is a great device.

One of the most powerful PDAs we have seen is the E-Ten G500, with its 400 MHz Samsung processor, 64 MB RAM and 128 ROM, driven by a Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system.
Apart from the usual characteristics in a mobile phone: 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, quad-band GSM,… it also has a SiRF star GPS III module.
The reviewer says this is a quite bulky phone, but really powerful, although not directed to newbies,as it may be a little complex.
Its price is about $750.
The TomTom GO 510 is a small GPS device to be used in the car without any fuss. You don’t need to connect it to the computer and it includes a 1 GB SD card with all the maps. It also can work as a Bluetooth hands-free for your mobile.
Nicholas Prada bought it and has made a nice review which you can see in this video.

Personal Tech Pipeline has been reviewing the Mio C310 and say that it is good enough for its price but it has some quirks which may annoy some people. The unit has been assembled with parts from different providers and it lacks total integration between them.
This makes some tasks in this GPS unit difficult, because the menus require at least three clicks to get typical actions done. The main problem is lack of screen state.
Apart from this, the C310 has a screen of approximately 2.5’’, a 2 GB internal flash-based ROM and is driven by Windows CE. It plays MP3 from the SD card, although the speakers are not so great.
