Ready to be available in Korea, the CSN-7040 is world’s first portable navigation device to include Immersion’s TouchSense system, which enables tactile feedback on touchscreen. Once again, the Koreans are always that lucky to experience new technology before anybody else.
Featuring a 7-inch touchscreen and a DMB receiver for satellite downloads, this high-end PND comes with the TouchSense system that provides a distinct tactile confirmation of any selection on the touchscreen. Thus, the new feature improves usability and safety by reducing glance-time while driving.
Not only PND, many other devices ranging from gaming systems to cell phones are going to feature Immersion’s TouchSense. According to Immersion, LG, Nokia, Samsung and 3M Touch Systems have obtained license for TouchSense.
