The Omnitech Widescreen GPS

Omnitech has come up with its new 4.3” widescreen GPS that uses the SiRF star III chipset and comes with a bundle of a 12V power cord and a charger. This GPS navigation device comes with the already loaded NAVTEQ maps of the United States and Canada. It also has the text-to-speech feature which enables it to say out the road names. This greatly helps in navigation when a number of roads are situated at close proximities.

The unit is very simple and the user options are quite easy. The performance of the Omnitech has been appreciated by users but a few have reported that the unit freezes up at times while calculating the routes. Some of the users have also reported that the Omnitech creates some very unusual routes at times. However, its performance and simple design evens out the odds.
