Samsung i550 GPS Phone

Samsung has officially announced the release of its new GPS phone – the SGH-i550. The i550 has some fantastic specifications together with GPS, a stunning 3.2 mp auto-focus camera, a 3.5mm audio jack and HSDPA connectivity giving it all the features to compete against the Nokia N95. The i550 is operated by the Symbian OS9.2 and it has the second version of the S60 browser together with Flashlite 2.0 and an array of UI refinements. The best thing about the i550 is its in-built GPS. Although it has not been specified whether it will come with any associated software but the i550 is supposed to run any of the GPS software that are available for the S60 as well as the Nokia maps.

 

The phone comes with HSDPA connectivity and it is a WCDMA (2100 Mhz) and tri-band GSM phone with EDGE and GPRS support. It also exhibits great local data connectivity such as the Bluetooth 2.0 and USB 2.0. It comprises of a 1200 mAh battery which is good enough to last for 24 hours even after heavy usage.
