Spot Inc. has launched the simply-tilted SPOT that works as a personal GPS-enabled tracking gadget that delivers information to friends, relatives and emergency staff about your status in cases of emergency situations. Out of all its features, it has a 911 button that can automatically call for help and can provide the 911 personnel with your exact location. Other features include an Ask for Help button that illuminates to alarm the friends or family, a Check In selection that can let your contacts know whether you are okay and a Track Progress option that can send your positioning to a Google map from where your relatives can easily monitor you.

The device can be operated with two AA cells and it weighs not more than seven-ounces. It is also light enough to float on water and robust enough to encounter most of the situations. The SPOT will cost you about $149.99 together with a $99 service fee. It will also offer monthly and yearly options that will be available very soon.
