Blackberry 8830 Goes GPS

Now even the Blackberry is jumping into the whole GPS bandwagon. If it is not enough that GPS navigators are trying to do a cross over and pack in various other functions be it PDA and DMB, now even Blackberry wants a piece of that action by offering GPS functionality from TeleNav’s GPS Nav from Bell in their Blackberry 8830 range.

Nevertheless it is a logical step as Blackberry users are mostly busy high level executives who do not have the time to loose their way, therefore packing in a GPS navigator will give them an even more function rich all-in-one mobile device. Furthermore, the GPS Nav from Bell is also able to update itself with current information through the Blackberry‘s Wi-Fi. Other than that, it also provides full-color, 3D moving maps as well as voice and on-screen navigation. Users are also allowed to record points-of-interest. Subscription to the GPS Nav from Bell service cost only $9.99 a month with data plan for unlimited usage.
