In this recent post, it has been said that a map update software would be firstly available on TomTom’s GO 720. Today we will take a look at what the GO 720, which is slotted to be launched across the U.S. and Canada at the end of July coming with a price tag of $499, has to offer. As we already know, one of the bigger perks of this device the MapShare software which allows users to update their maps.
Design wise, the TomTom GO 720 is said to feature a new elegant slim outline with a 4.3” large touch screen. It measures 4.7″ x 3.2″ x 0.9″ and weights in at 7.7 ounce. The user interface is the same easy-to-use layout which TomTom users are familiar with where 3D graphics and building footprints help users gain a better overview of their surrounding. It also features millions of points of interest with a 100 different recognizable brand icons. Not only that, it also has new safety feature which comes in the form of a ‘Help Me!’ menu that includes information of the nearest police station, hospital or car repair service centre.
