Garmin has introduced what is said to be wide screen models for the nuvi GPS navigator device range. This comes in the form of the nuvi 200W and 250W which features bright displays and is sunlight viewable with WQVGA color and TFT white backlighting. It measures 4.8”W x 2.9”H x 0.8”D and weights 6.1 ounce which makes it a pretty light and portable device. It has a 4.3” display screen which gives a 480 x 272 pixel resolution.
Features wise it contains maps of U.S. and Puerto Rico and has over six million points of interest. Fret not for non-U.S. users as the 200W is also available in region-specific models for you guys in Europe, Australia, NZ, Mexico and Brazil. You can even supplement your maps with information such as school and speed-cam zones to remind and keep you out of trouble. It also features added security measure with the Garmin Lock that stops the GPS from working until 4-digit PIN us entered or it is taken to a preset location.
