The Navibe GB735 is a Bluetooth GPS receiver and nice looking too. It is extremely small and light for a GPS receiver. It is powered by the SiRF Star III chipset with 20 channel satellites which means a faster first time to fix on signal. The extra feature of the SiRF Star III firmware version 3.2 has improved the GPS position accuracy. The chipset also contributes to a higher sensitivity for availability in far more harsh or closed environments. It can link up with almost any Bluetooth enabled device such as Smartphones, pocket PC, my ETEN PDA and laptop.
The battery life is definitely worth mentioning as it is able to stay on for 10 hours which I would prefer to be about 20 hours for a good trek to the jungle. Navibe is aware of the need for constant status notification so they include 3 bright LED lights for Bluetooth, GPS and the battery status. I don’t think I will use much of this device but for those who are always on the go, it might just come in handy.
