You don’t always need to have a GPS unit to navigate without problems. Well, at least, you don’t need to have an additional one. If your current cellphone includes support for GPS, like Motorola i710, i730, i736, i830 and ii860 you can download a Java application which will guide you to your destination.
For now, it’s only available for those cellphone models and aonly in Nextel, but expect more support in a short time.
